What does a psychotherapy session look like?
A conversation in a safe, discreet place, at your pace and without judgement.
A calm, safe space to understand your emotions and turn long-standing patterns into new, supportive habits.
Psychotherapy is a process in which, within a safe relationship with a therapist, you look at your emotions, thoughts and behaviour in order to cope better with difficulties. I work in the positive psychotherapy approach, which rests on the belief that everyone has inner resources for growth.
At the first meeting we talk about what brings you to me and what you expect. After that we usually meet once a week or every two weeks for 55-minute sessions.
We get to the source of the difficulty, become aware of its causes, and then step by step turn long-standing patterns into new habits and emotions. Therapy can last from a few weeks to several months, depending on your needs.

No. It is enough that you feel you want to change something. I help you put difficulties into words in the first meetings.
It is not always enough on its own. Sometimes medical treatment is needed too; we talk about this openly and, if necessary, I refer you to a doctor.
